Notice any scary logos in the eXchangeCOLO.com flash intro (that they might want to take out now)?

Who uses intro pages these days? They're bad for search engines...

Flash intro's are just plain bad, I doubt I'm the only one who often skips sites with flash on them.

Sorry to take this a little off topic, but you say flash intros are bad. What do you thin about a plain html and graphics into page?

I think intro pages are horrible.

I want to get to the site. I don't want to go to a page that says, "Click here to go to the site."

Just get me to where I want to go!

And, flash intros . . . . :puke:

worse yet

Okay. I'm done for a bit. What was the subject? :D

Just one more off topic question......

If you needed to display mulitple currencies on you site how would you go about this, other than using a "intro" page?

If you needed to display mulitple currencies on you site how would you go about this, other than using a "intro" page? Are you referring to an intro page where you select the language? If so, the best implementation for a multi-lingual site would be to have it atempt to detect the proper language for the user, and iff (if & only if) the language can't be detected would it display a page specifically asking what language to use. Then, in the rest of the site, there'd be, say, drop-down list of languages somewhere so the user can easily switch to a different language on his/her own.
