You could just put a general/approximate.. No one is asking for exact specs :)

You won't get much around here by asking those questions, webhosting owners on wht are very secretive :D . I think it would be better if you posted a poll, so they can post anonymously.

Mainly because posting what they make would call their bluff and reveal they are one person shows and only host a limited number of customers, unlike what their about us page tells. ;)

UmBillyCord, I agree with you

nin, not all hosts make a lot, too many out there, too many go under for a lot to make money.

im beginning to believe that those that send targetted traffic to hosts make alot more than hosts. they also dont have to put up with the whining.

i read a post on this subject about a year ago, the host claimed he wasnt making alot, enough for a truck payment and some other stuff.

my goal is to cover the expensive private school my daughter goes to, and ive made it in a year and a half.

some in the biz hit big, some stay small, and some burn out.

try to be humble about your strengths and realistic about your goals. you're not going to be the next verio but you can make enough to pay for some fringes that make life better....

More than you.

Seriously though, I:

a) dont understand why you care and
b) dont expect a single person to tell you

2) If you're a employer/president, what's your salary like per month?

It'd be interesting to compare this throughout the webhosting industry :pimp:

1. Not even enough to get a private plane.
2. So little, I cant afford a Ferrari :-(

Well, I'll level with you....

Just between you, me, and the wall....

(Since I havent yet gone into hosting as a business and I am still doing it as a hobby)

I've been paid in lots of thank you's, a hard drive, a CPU, and...well my girlfriend has been supplied with a free domain...

Lets say she's grateful for my generousity. ;)

(Not sure how much that will help you out)

The bigger the company, doesn't necessarily mean the more profit.. just more to pay out to provide the same service to more clients...

An old sock for employee's - Surely you could stretch to a pair Kiwi :D

dot, true, but as you expand, if your profit isent incressing, you are doing something wrong, or are in the wrong buissness

hehe, there is a bit of an overlap that goes on with expansion - you grow, you make more money, you expand with staff or equpiment, make less money, grow again, make more money, get more equipment staff etc... and so on.... :D Thats how It has worked for me so far :D

My lemonade stand is just about to break even... I can't wait, the bargaining power I will possess in the citrus market will *thwak those that defy me!

I make enough to keep the wife happy, and our two kids.

This is the only reason I'm doing it, I don't want to "Corner" a market with trademarks, copyrights etc, I just want to be happy, oh and buy that beach house, and customize my house into a technical nightmare.. that's all, oh and have two more kids.

I think a better question ( or atleast one that will get you more responses) is how many people have positive cash flow at the end of the month. ;)
