View Full Version : Managing Finances
Andre C 12-15-2008, 01:04 AM Managing Finances
Hi,
I was wondering what are the best ways to manage finances?
Do you use a spreadsheet or keep them all in WHMCS, ClientExec or whatever billing system you use?

Mike - Limestone 12-15-2008, 02:52 PM Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried a tool like mint.com for business expenses?
I use it for my personal finances, so I'm just curious how well it could be 'hacked' for business uses.

I haven't tried mint.com, looks pretty nice. How good is it?

teachforjune-Scott 12-15-2008, 05:55 PM It's not really meant as a business app. I think you would need a better business ledger than mint.com or other online variants. Remember, this could lead you into legal issues and you're best to handle it as such.

LaneHost 12-15-2008, 06:58 PM We already run business accountant software for our business. WHMCS allows you to export client data into your accounting program.
My question regarding mint.com was for managing personal finance.

teachforjune-Scott 12-15-2008, 09:24 PM For personal finance it's great. Also checkout quickenonline.com. It has some better budget features, but both are great for personal finance.

Thales 12-18-2008, 03:31 PM We use WHMCS and an Excel spreadsheet for intangible things like Hosting. Quickbooks for our store POS and accounting. I'm going to check out Mint for my personal finances, looks neat.
