I am poor in math. But 2002>1996. This confuses me. :puke:

It's like junior sports grading. Under 10's are under 10. Under 12's are under 12 but older than 10...does that help? :)

I first got the Internet through school in 1993 (they had CompuServe), got email at home in 1995 and then full Internet in 1996.

The internet was a lot better when you had to be some sort of Sci/Math major in order to even think about using a computer. Back before AOL let all those with IQs under 40 online.

I first got online in 1994... We had a 2400Bps Modem

back in 95-96 with a 28.8k modem and a thunderous 100mhz desktop. :) Netscape Navigator Gold was king, and animated gifs were the peak of dynamic design :D

Started on the Internet in 1993.

Started participating in online discussion forums in 1979.

Geez when I first hooked up to what is today called the Internet there were hardly any http pages, it was all news groups and gopher. I was on a 33mhz 386 with a 300 baud modem, the few web pages on line took 5 minutes to load. :(

I did a google search a while back and found some postings I did to a news group in 92 still online:rolleyes:

I am glad Al Gore invented this thing we call the Internet:D where would we be without it.

Hmmm....Well I started with AOL somewhere around 1996 if you want to consider that being "connected" - ("disconnected from constantly") to the internet :D
I really consider myself connected when I got Cable about 2 1/2 years ago, life is sweet now!

I just know that it was atleast 8 years ago

I first used the internet around 1993 at the library.

I first got a computer in my house online in 1994, with a 28k modem.

Around 1996-97...I used Prodigy's Web browser (when Prodigy Classic was around) initially until it racked up some huge expenses on the monthly bill. That's when we switched to a local ISP that eventually got bought out by Earthlink. Go figure. :rolleyes:

I was first online ~1990 with a 2400 bps modem. Calling up all the BBSs around town. Around '92 I was running my own BBS which connected out to FidoNet. My BBS lasted about 2 years before the power supply died in the comp and I left it at that. In '95 was when I was surfing around with gopher and lynx when I went to college.
