rcbandit 12-12-2008, 06:25 PM How to control VPS with WHMCS
Hi everybody,
I would like to ask you what virtualization software I can use with WHMCS?
Can WHMCS work with virtuozzo or VMware? Can I set up a virtual machime for example 30 days and after that configure WHMCS to shut it down automatically?
Regards
PogiWeb 12-12-2008, 06:29 PM WHMCS currently only supports HyperVM.

LH-Danny 12-12-2008, 06:29 PM I know that WHMCS can create a VPS with HyperVM when ordered although I dont think that it has the function to shut down a VPS automatically after 30 days. Though, correct me if I am incorrect.

rcbandit 12-12-2008, 06:50 PM And can WHMCS work with DNS server - can I type domain names in WHMCS and WHMCS send it to BIND(DNS server) when I register domain?
PogiWeb 12-13-2008, 02:51 AM If you mean hostname being entered into bind then I believe the answer is Yes. You will of course have to use HyperVM.

These questions are more suitable to be directed to WHMCS or ClientEXEChttp://forum.whmcs.comhttp://www.newedge.com/forum
Or you can suggest them these ideas?

Maars 12-14-2008, 11:07 AM Thanks Matt - HostPenguin for the info.
Also if i want to create resellers in a VPS, should i buy "cpanel for vps" or "cpanel for dedicated" license ?
Regards
AHN-Andrew 12-14-2008, 11:32 AM cPanel for VPS is only used if you are using cPanel on you VPS, if you are using cPanel on a dedicated server you would need to purchase a dedicated server license.
When you install cPanel it will auto detect whether you are installing on a VPS or dedicated server.

If your using a VPS account you should use the cpanel vps license. Here is basically an interesting breakdown on Dedicated/VPS/Reseller/Shared...
Code:
Dedicated Server (HostNode)
|
---------------------------
| |
VPS VPS
|-----Reseller
| |
Shared Shared
