Need some advises

Hello everyone,
I'm starting out a new company, it would have only share hosting at first, taking it slowly but surely...
Now I been working 2 in hosting companies, but never pure web hosting, and never had my own from scratch...
So I have a dilemma about my plans...
Now I got myself a 25$ reseller, which has 5tb and 50gb space, i have unlimited db's and unlimited mails etc. also got myself a WHMCS, and cpanel 11.
Now I have no idea about that, I'm stuck, what do u think would be the best plans? I'm thinking of 3 plans, and do you think unlimited databases and mails for all plans is a good idea?
Also I'm currently writing my terms of service, if u have any ideas for essential stuff that has to be there, let me know...
Hoping to get some help, Mant

Hi there
Do yourself a robust business plan.
Who is your target market, what is your USP (unique selling point), your plans should reflect these along with the amount of space you have versus number of possible accounts. You need to decide if you're going to oversell or not to work the last bit out.
Could you offer cheaper plans with no databases and restricted email accounts for people who want that along with accounts including them?
For your terms of service a good place to start is the company who you have your reseller with as you and any sites you host are bound by them! Aside from that have a look at the terms some of the guys on here have - that'll point you in the right direction!
I'm sure others will post with their own thoughts but good luck whatever you decide.

Hello,
for the tos just look at other hosting companies's tos and note what you will need.
Imo, start with unlimited databases increase disk space and bandwidth as you expand.

You've got a good configuration for your price.
Well, if you're getting unlimited databases and emails, then give out the same to your customers too.
Make one basic plan which would be much cheaper than the other two and would have limited databases and emails.
Give out unlimited for the other two plans..

Wondering, how much disk space are you limiting to in each plan?

First identify your market. For that, find out which crowd are you planning to attract? Business or personal audience ?
Then based on targeted market find out what your competitors offers. See what you can provide which will make your offering unique. That will be your unique selling point. Price decrease is not the only way and I wouldn't vouch for it. Think differently and come out with good ideas.
Once you have your USP (unique selling point) then workout your plan pricing based on the cost + profit calculation or any other pricing model. Once you arrive at a price then do a research on the pricing which your competitors offers. See if your price is competitive. Considering all that, work out a competitive pricing. Decide on which pricing model you want to go ahead with ie Penetration pricing, Skim pricing etc. It will depend on what you want to achieve.
Once everything in place do review the offerings and price strategy at-least 5 times to see if you have considered all aspect of business. Once you feel confident in your offerings and strategy then go ahead and make your plans public.
Then wait and watch :-D
