Need some script/program on my linux server to record audio

Hi
I run a music upload site. Currently i record internet radio and add it to the site via the upload function on the site.
Basically its taking a lot time. I have to record the shows via audacity, save them to mp3, upload them to the site.
Basically im looking for someone to create...something....that will allow me to schedule recordings, be able to record the shows from the server, and store them away on the server so i can add them to the site each day.
Server is Linux
Apologies i have very little knowledge and cant really describe what exactly i need, i know is what i want it to do.
