A quick couple of questions

Has anyone heard of fasthosts ? They seem to offer a program that doesn't have all that much risk involved.
I'm wanting to resell hosting but want to start really easy even if it means only making a couple of bucks. What would be the best way to go?
Thanks

Just to let you know, when your getting into the web hosting industry, it's not very easy to make money. You don't just sell hosting to your clients and leave it there. You have to be able to provide them with quality support, good prices, and many other things. I wouldn't recommend going with an overseller because they give you "unlimited" resources which does not exist in the web hosting world. Plus, they would offer you a high amount of resources but would suspend you once you attempt to reach that limit. I would just look for a host with more realistic and reasonable resources. If you decide to get serious with web hosting, you should be ready to expect some losses for the first few months because it's not very likely that you'll profit in your first month.

- Find yourself a good host if you plan to resell hosting.
- Make sure they dont offer unlimited space and bandwidth
Ask Yourself this, is your Home PC UNLIMITED HARD DRIVE SPACE?

I don't know if this will help you any, but fasthosts is owned by 1and1.
I've yet to wrap my head around unlimited reseller hosting offers. One thing remains true, miracles don't exist in the world of hosting, so 50 pounds can only buy you so much service.
Reading the terms of service will essentially reveal just that: http://www.fasthosts.co.uk/companyinfo/termsofservice/

I'd also say that if your just starting out your not going to get any handholding or "extra help" from fasthosts.
Just try and learn and read as much as you can before deciding to start selling hosting. Its a real industry with real businesses and not a way to make a few bucks unless your just doing it on the side of your main business.

As with any business, here it's highly recommended you develop a 'reseller hosting' business plan that takes into account expenses, demographics, trends, profit projections, etc. Set aside sufficient capital to sustain any losses your first few months. Most businesses fail in their first year of operation because they run short of operating capital. You have to PLAN for success. Be realistic.
The best to you.

Definitely be wary of the time commitment that the business will require. I don't want to discourage you from reselling web hosting, but it's not "easy money" in terms of time-free money-making.
Good luck!

Reseller hosting is one of the easiest methods to get into web hosting business however this doesn't ensure that one would start earning profits right away. You need to have a proper plan in place and also be well prepared to sustain losses for the first few months.

Just to give you a heads up, I have just completed my first month on a reseller account with my host. I have spent about 500 bucks advertising, but have not gotten any clients, I have focused most of my advertising in my community as its free, however, I'm in the Army and stationed overseas so it is a limited community lol. My advertising got me about 10-50 new visitors a day, just no actual clients. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my site design, as it is just an RVsitebuilder designed website (I am workign on a better one and should have it up in a week or so more, hopefully over the next few days) It is VERY time consuming, I have spent almost all of my time that I've been off of work on the internet. All of it related to my website. By no means is it a get rich quick thing unless you are really LUCKY.
