Warning! Beware of MellowHost

I contacted Mellow Host 2 1/2 weeks ago and still have not gotten a response. Before that I got in a fight with them because they suspended me for having to many customers. The support is terrible and their security is even worse. I have been using them for about 5 months now and let me tell you something you get what you pay for. 6.95/month for overselling and a master reseller account. Not worth it I would rather pay 20/month and get 24/7 support and the same features. One of the biggest problems I had with them is they suspended accounts that I hosted without tell me and I had not way of un doing them because they would not respond to me. GO somewhere else not worth it at mellow host. Well, honestly that's what happens when you decide to go with a massive overseller. There is no such thing as "unmetered" disk space or bandwidth on a reseller account. There is unmetered bandwidth on a dedicated server but no unmetered disk space. If I were you I would just pack your bags and move to another host. I would recommend increasing your budget and going with a host that doesn't oversell so you can receive better quality service.

If you plan to resell hosting space go with a host the tell you how much space and bandwidth you may use.
Ask Yourself this, is your Home PC UNLIMITED HARD DRIVE SPACE?

I know all that! I bought a dedicated server just recently so I dont have to deal with this.

I had an a/c with mellow host too. As far as their support goes, its ok. But, they disabled full backups in CPanel when i wanted to move out to another host and never enabled it again. All my request were answered rather rudely.
Its really horrible situation if you had 100's of customer a/c's to move.

I wonder if they had warned you before you got your account suspended? They should warn you and then close the account.

They do answer in a rude way! I have gotten in multiple fights with them before. I had about 600 accounts on the server and they were telling me that they must be free and their going to suspend my account because I have to many. They have about 3 support members servicing a lot of accounts. They are just overall bad.

If they limit to you the amount of accounts you can have then their software needs to limit you. I personally do not limit my resellers customers, only the reseller disk space and bandwdth. I know some hosts do but it should be specified and the software should limit you. Sorry for your troubles, better luck with the dedicated server.

i was done this before, they suspend me and my domain name from DirectI,this was a personal interest i think.
And now, the war is over becuase, we personally settled this problem each other. they restored back my account.
So now, afraid the status of mellowhost becuase they have some problem with thier servers like quotas and ffmpeg a video streaming problems, And also the Mellowhost Peer support is now a dirty place because there are some postings that is not related to the topics.
