Having owned a RaQ4i from rack****e.net for all of 4 hours, my installation knowledge now enables me to click a button and install all those pkg files I've downloaded. Other than that I'm still learning.

Someone told me the DBD module is freely available at http://www.perl.com/CPAN/modules/by-module/DBD . Faced with dozens of files I think to myself as the early hours loom, flip, this is prooving to be a pain in the arse. The help files with the RaQ4 pretty much describe in useless ways how the "Add user" button will "Add a user" if clicked. I'm still searching for the *really* useful beginners tutorials written by people who actually know how to get a concept across.

Could anyone tell me how this "DBD module" might be installed, or offer links to step-by-step tutorials on "getting the most out of your RaQ"?

Regards
Jason

Hi :)

if you are talking about the mySQL .pkg for raq then ,head down to pkg.nl.cobalt.com (http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com)

I got the MySQL pkg file installed no problem, that was the easy part. To install DBD modules and the like requires Telnet I believe, so I'm still learning that, and still looking for those turorials.

Jason, I don't know which file you'd need, but I will give you one tip. Lookin for RaQ/Cobalt tutorials might turn up something, but realize that the RaQs are nothing more than linux servers running apache. In other words, look for linux/apache/etc. starter tutorials.
