My mums freind used to work at a hotel at the Falkland hills in Scotland when the falklands war was on and people used to phone up asking if that's the place the war is going on.

Moral of the story: There are some phenomenally stupid people in the world. The Falklands are a small group of islands in the South Atlantic that Argentina and Britain have been arguing over for decades. Argentina took them by force in the early 80's (?) and Britain, in turn, dealt them a severe spanking.
