View Full Version : Anyone use Safecharge or Gate2Shop to process payments
Dominator Human 12-02-2008, 02:50 PM Anyone use Safecharge or Gate2Shop to process payments
I am looking into a high volume CC processor for our new e-commerce site and I just received a call from SafeCharge.
Their rates sound great, but the only drawback seems to be that you must eventually register your company in Europe.
Does anyone have any experience using either of these to process payments online?
What are any other choices for hi volume CC processing?

I guess that you would agree as I would need to use your services to set up a UK Business.
I have checked and it seems that you have the lowest rates for this and I will be contacting you.
Luxenburg 12-02-2008, 08:05 PM isnt safecharge for minimum of 100k monthly volume...
gate2shop is for smaller companies(no monthly limit...i think)
ive heard good things about gate2shop, unfortunatly since im with Volusion, and they are not compatible i was declined...
DEFINITELY going to switch from volusion, as this is one of the biggest problems im running into since going offshore.
G2S and SC are good from what ive heard

I talked with a rep today and he told me that they can intergrate safecharge with Volusion.
I am looking into Volusion and I don't want to use it if this can't be done.
Does Volusion allow the CC information to pass throught to the back end so you can enter the information into a virtual terminal?

I've never heard of this company. For high amounts I would say take a look at Authorize.net
All the best,

All the best,
Authorize.net is just a Gateway. You still need a merchant account to use this gateway.
Sure I could get Authorize.net, but if I use a U.S. based merchant account I will be limited to how much my business can grow.
I have 2 Yahoo stores that I started over 3 years ago when I didn't know much about merchant accounts. If I process more that my monthly max for more than 2 months in a row I will run into problems. It is hard to get an increase every 3 or so months with a U.S. based processor.
U.S. based processors have very low rates, but you have to be very careful processing e-commerce with most of them.

I work with G2S for a while now. They accept all kind of Ecommerce businesses worldwide. They are NOT limited to incorporations only form the EU. It is a trusted company and they provide me with an excellent, fast and professional service so far.

I talked with a sales rep yesterday from SafeCharge and he told me that they deal with offshore banks and you must register your business in the country that the bank is located in. He told me that i can choose EU, Cyprus, ect.
If you are using G2S, is your business only registered and/or incorporated in the US?
Does G2S have a virtual terminal available in addition to the gateway that links to your website?

G2S accepts clients worldwide, also US. Where the business is registered or incorporated doesnt matter.
I am also using virtual terminal from G2S next to the gateway. The whole process of integration and set-up was easy and we received at all times the support needed.

I sent an e-mail message to the sales rep about the registration of the business.
From what he stated was that you can have a business anywhere in the work, but you must eventually register your business in the EU.
What country are you located in? If you are already in the EU or not in the US they you may have received different information for you or your business.
It seem as if G2S will be a good choice as I will need a virtual terminal for mail and phone orders in addition to e-commerce.
