Just reset it via whm - Password modification :D

If you haven't got it in your whm - ask your host to enable it for you :D

Yes, I tend to agree.

Ivan,
before you sign up a single new customer spend some time looking through the documentation on cpanel, and WHM to get a better feel for it.

Yes I agree, but for the sake of his/her clients right now, isn't it better to provide helpfull information? Did he ask for "hey can anyone give me negative comments about the question I am about to ask" - NO he didn't - Give the guy a break !! :D

agreed, though in my defense I did temper the first thing that popped into my head quite a bit.

But.. to add to your reply to the initial question.

Ivan,
WHM doesn't store the passwords to accounts. When a customer loses their password it can be reset to anything you choose via the password modification option mentioned above.

Something you should consider is the keeping of records for accounts. A secured file somewhere (floppy disk for example) that contains the domain names, usernames and passwords for each account. (by secured I mean, not left on a computer accessible to the internet, and not lying around where other people may have access to it that shouldn't).

That way you can reset their password to whatever you orginally used to set up the account if they've changed it, or just resend the original to them if they haven't.

Well, if any of you are familiar with some of my other posts, my original reply to his post doesn't really fit my usual word count. I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to bite my tongue but still hopefully convey my message. I'm glad you guys understood. :D
