Private whois and the registrar out-of-business

Hello,
If I use whois privacy / private whois for my domain name and the registrar for some reason out-of-business, what will happen to my domain name?
I heard ICANN will move my account to another registrar.
But since the public whois showing NOT my detail, how to prove my ownership to the domain name at the new registrar?
Please advice.
Thank you.

I believe whois privacy services are like a proxy, your true details are still held at the root.

Not necessary, not with all registrars. They (or their private whois service) is often stated as domain owner but they made with you deal to give you domain ownership back wherever you want or something like that.
I hope that you saved domain name paiment invoices and all other possible details which can be used as proof that you're domain owner.

THE correct route is the registrar offers the service to the client, the public WHOIS server shows shows the privacy protection details, but the ICANN registrar has to provide the correct informtion to the RDE program with IronMountain (the program introduces after RegisterFly fiasco).
NOW, testnick is correct on 1 point, namecheap (sure it was them) provided a service to to its users which was a contract of ownership, and yes the OP would need to direct this kind of question at the company as eNom's system doesnt allow seperate spaces for it (from what I can see).
Now namecheap are accredited, when they start using their accreditation, I am sure they have though of this and hopefully the information they provide the RDE program will be the registrants.

Actually I don't know if your whois guard protection is valid for a domain when it will be transferred to a new registrar! As a rule privacy protection is disabled for a domain during a transfer period! Nevertheless, I think it is better to ask the company that you are going to transfer a domain to! But I know exactly that all remaining time for a domain is usually transferred to a gaining registrar and domain name owner don't lose it!

Imlek,
If you cannot get a repsonse from your registrar regarding the transfer of your domain to a new registrar, then you could contact Icann about it:http://reports.internic.net/cgi/regi...lem-report.cgi

I'm sorry but this thread is not related to my other post (Transfering my domain to a new registrar).
I want to know if I use whois privacy then one day the registrar go out-of-business.
