lxadmin vs direct admin

Hi, i can use lxadmin for free but will cost $6.95 for direct admin.
Is direct Admin better than lxadmin or vice versa?
Which do users (clients) find easier to use?
Which offer better features?
Is direct admin worth the extra money.
THanks
Damien

Yes DA will definitely be better if you plan to provide web hosting services. If you can pay more, also try looking into cPanel as it is the most popular panel around.

cpanel more popular but over the years of using it i have some times found it to be wanting, might just be the hosts i was with. but there been stability, sercurity and the strain it put on the servers concerns.
what make da better than lx ?
Thanks
DAmien

I haven't used lxadmin, but I will say that DA is a great panel and we are currently planning on moving all of our current cpanel customers over to DA.

I would personally go with DA if I was using it, but clients would prefer cPanel. LxAdmin is good, but they need to slow down with these daily updates...

I wish there were one click installers for wordpress, drupal etc with direct admin I would be so happy if that was the case.

whmcs is fully compatible with da and installatron is even better than fantastico. You can install, upgrade, revert, and import fantastico installs. You can add scripts to be installed that are not in the default script library and scripts are usually automatically updated within a day or two of the new version release. EVEN (and that's a big even) if I were to go back to cPanel (not), I would not use fantastico. I would install installatron. It just gives more options for my clients. Plus it's more secure in that you don't have to set up the mysql dbs with the default entries. You can modify certain aspects of it to make it more secure.

You would need to update it every couple of days, as they are constantly making changes.

Thats pretty dam awesome, I have been contacting fantastico for a while trying to get them to add just one cms (CMS Made Simple) - it was rated 3rd overall CMS in 2007 and in 2008 it won a couple more awards from Packet Publishing... maybe I can do an auto install for that with Installatron
