hello :)

a good frind of mine will leave in 2 weeks Europe and stay for a month in Japan. do you know if there is (small sized) hardware cheap around?

I'm not looking to save 10%... but 50% :-D should you know some pc products beeing really cheap in Japan... please let me know!

Their PCs kick arse! Not like the crappy beige/black crap you get everywhere, their's come in all shades and mainly with flat panels (LCD).

Watch out for voltage difference, and very hard (almost impossible) to find english manuals.

Don't know any urls but your friend will have the time of his life shopping for your consumer electronics.

Go for MOs (Magnetic Optical drives), they are huge in Jap. CD-R is no where near as popular - even MD (MiniDisc) is more popular.
In terms of price, you can't go wrong especially when you pay for an equivalent priced item outside, but the only difference is your purchase will most likely be UNAVAILABLE outside of Japan for another 18+months, now that's pretty kewl.
