Unlimited Bandwidth/Disk Space Ads? Double Standards?!?

Hi,
So how come there is a peel me on the top right of my WHT screen which when opened shows a shared hosting advertisement for "unlimited bandwidth, unlimited diskspace" from one of the most well known hosts who were recently forced to start offering "unlimited" everything?
I thought that was against WHT advertising rules!
Quote:

No unlimited/unmetered space, unlimited/unmetered bandwidth, or lifetime plan offers. Posting such offers will lead to the thread being removed and may cause your account to be suspended. If you sell unlimited or unmetered space and/or bandwidth plans on your site, you cannot advertise that site on WebHostingTalk. You cannot create a metered plan to sell on WHT while you offer unmetered plans on the site you link to.

Or are there different rules for the big boys with big bucks running big ad campaigns?

I don't know, but there's some of the text links at the bottom too.
Your last statement is probably right though.

The rules you quoted are for the advertising forums. We don't consider banner advertising the same as forum threads. If they want to post a thread with those offers, they can't. If someone wants to pay for ads on a site that clearly discourages what they offer, that's their choice.

Sounds like the answer to your question is: Yes

His answer isn't, Yet. The question is, "Or are there different rules for the big boys with big bucks running big ad campaigns?" And the answer is, No.
In fact, even though banner advertising isn't governed by the same rules as forum thread advertising, they are prohibited from advertising unlimited space and/or bandwidth plans. The ad in question has or will be replaced.

If this is true, then I really must state that this would indeed confirm WHT's integrity as the number 1 web hosting forum out there. Awesome!

Are you using Safari?
There's a logout link on the bottom of the homepage as well.

The advertisement is still there about a week later in the peel.
