Question about terminated sites in WHMCS
If a site gets "terminated" in WHMCS, are all backups removed off the server as well or must this be done manually? (On a dedicated server)

If the backups were attached to the customer's account, they should be deleted. I may be wrong, so you may want to contact WHMCS about that.

It is possible to show terminated in WHMCS without terminating account.
Regarding Backup-
It depends how hosting provider keep backup.

Terminating an account in WHMCS simply sends an API call to cPanel to delete the account (if you have this setup within WHMCS).
If the backups were made by the user then they will be stored within /home/user and will therefore get deleted at the point the account is deleted. If the backups are created by your own script and are stored outside of /home/user then they will not be deleted.
