Well... there is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX12R (his) and a Kawasaki Ninja 500R (hers) in our garage...so I guess that dictates my vote :D

I have 2 Yamahas and 3 Hondas (all dirt bikes). I like Yamaha the best.

Yes dirt bikes are good but if you don't have secure storage from it then forget it since all the wee nids around here always try to nick them.

Yeah, we have a problem with theft here, too. I keep mine locked in the garage with a chain around them. I have I.R. sensors in the ceiling and a BIG gun within reach.

Just let 'em try it!

I used to have 2 Kawasakis (dirt bikes, again).

They are great machines.

I had a Champ dirtbike and brand new too. When i went out with it these we kids where always there asking me 100 questions a minute and asking if they can get a shot:rolleyes: . I go out with the bike and my mum goes out and my mum comes back on her own to find kids in the back bloody yard obviously looking for the bike, they have climbed over the wall and if i had been there i would have kept them hostage until the police came and get them done for tresspassing and trying to steal a bike.
My back yard is in no way open to the public and it's not easy to get into.
I'm a radio scanner and you should hear all the storys about stolen dirtbikes, hardly any about racing bikes etc just mostly scooters, dirtbikes etc.

Anyway you should try Aprilia guys. Lots of mods you can try on the net.

Aprillia is very good.

Although, Kawasaki Ninjas are nice.

I voted Honda as I owned a Honda Valkyrie (F6C, six cylinders) some time ago, a wonderful bike with much power. But I think you missed some very important bikes from European vendors: Ducati, Triumph, Moto Guzzi.

herleys are like harley owners, fat and slow, huge agricultural engines that produce very little power for their size. any brit or italian or jap superbike will piss all over any harley on the planet.
the harley may win on the first 10 yards but after that it would be eating superbike dust.
my vote would be a damn hard one to choose. i love the kwakka 750 zxr H model for its purely stupid power delivery. ever heard of a harley so damn raw not only does the front lift but on dropping the clutch into 4th! the front still lifts and has such a raw delivery the rear squirms like hell laying it down. hell if i wanted a tractor id have bought one, and one without copious quantities of chrome.
aprilia make some very nice bikes, bit finicky, high performance definately require a bit more attention.
the hayabusa has to be a nominee for idiot bike of the century, only beaten by the norton nemesis (v8,1500 cc anybody? rear view cameras as wing morrors arent aerodynamic etc etc) and shows how nicely you can deploy a huge engine.
honda have the imfamy of giving me my first 175+mph ride on a blade. a true classic, even the baby blade was good.
but my heart belongs with one make alone. and its not on the list:(
nope not trimph or norton or bsa all of whom come a very close joint second. but ducati. 916 foggy special . thats a hell of a ride. not the fastest but definately the most fun. why aint ducati on the list :) theyre one of the greats with a massive following.

Its not always about power...but about STYLE

Its not always about power...but about STYLE

That's fine as long as you realize your quest for style has a heavy price......HD has the highest recall rate of any bike on the market, at least here in the US. At 43% over the last 7 years, that high a recall rate would put any other manufacturer out of business, but HD owners are semi-fanatical, so what does one expect?

The second worst bike was, surprise, Buell.

Have a friend who bought a FatBoy(?) with the Night Train package. Looks very cool..only a month or two old. Looking at the bike last week, noticed some seeping along the primary drive cover. He says "That's not tranny fluid......it's just the cover seeping."

Well, what does he think is seeping out? Aluminum? Air?

It's much like having flames painted on your HD..........this tradition grew out of HD's constantly catching fire. It happened so much that many HD owners began painting flames on their bikes as a joke because, as one long-time owner put it, if you owned a HD, you had it burn at least once. Such reliability.

Harleys arn't real bikes there all image and nothing else.

If you want to look cool and don't mind the thing breaking down on you all the time or the inflated price that you have to pay then go for a Harley.

Now if you want a great bike go for Honda.
