You may need to go back to namecheap.com and renew the domain with them.

I believe its still there but under a different tab in your namecheap control panel. Try the "Reactivate Domains" link.

You may want to contact them and ask how it can be renewed. Normally, clients get a chance to renew expired domain for a period of time before it is deleted. After that it goes to a redemption status where you get the chance to get back the domain for a higher price tag. If you don't redeem the domain, it would become available for the public for registration after a certain period of time.

Thank you but I don't see anything under renew/reactive domain.
I did a query and found this information
Domain Name: MYDOMAIN.COM
Registrar: ENOM, INC.
Whois Server: whois.enom.com
Referral URL: http://www.enom.com
Name Server: DNS1.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS2.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS3.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS4.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS5.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Status: ok
Updated Date: 21-nov-2008
Creation Date: 20-nov-2003
Expiration Date: 20-nov-2009
As you can see someone might have bought it..but it expired on 20th November..?

As far as I know Namecheap can require additional $200 to renew domains expired!

A lot of these things happen on a case-by-case basis. From a technical perspective namecheap should still have control over the registration and should be able to renew it for you at regular rates, although depending on the registrar whether or not they decide to charge extra is up to them.
Either way, you're not going to get anything more than a lot of speculation from us so you should be contacting your original registrar directly ASAP to get this sorted out.
