I cannot reach them from here in the UK - could be a problem for the 5 nines if they are down.

You know the world's going to end when it's Sept 11th and rackspace is down. :D

How unlucky. I hope they resolve this soon...:(

Maybe they shut down to commemorate 9/11.

Or maybe they got spammed so much with stuff about Host Packet that they crashed?

hehehe

Hello,

It is up and running functionally. No difficulties accessing their web site and servers.

RackSpace keeps a different UK and US datacenter if I remember correctly. CHeck a traceroute before concluding they are down - make sure it isn't just in a line between you and them. It could be that.

I couldn't access either RackSpace.co.uk or .com, but I can now so I guess that their SLA's are safe

I can still get to both co.uk and .com from the UK, however I thought that they had a UK datacentre - tracert shows otherwise:

Both addresses resolve to the same IP - don't assume that just because its a .co.uk domain it is in the UK. Perhaps I was wrong - but I think RackSPace has two datacenters. I don't know an IP for the UK one but at least the US one can be found at 64.39.2.185...

No problems here and all our 8 servers are up. Methinks someone has internet probs. Anyhow, they have 3 DCs, 2 in San Antonio and 1 in London. Rackspace.co.uk is just hosted on the same same server as the .com.

I need to move into Brooklyn, Nassau is nice and all, but 2.5 million people beats the hell out of 1.3 million any day! I dont even want to get started on what a waste of space Suffolk is :stickout
