Darth 09-11-2002, 04:32 PM bet ya :stickout clocker1996 09-11-2002, 04:32 PM .. wow wht was down for 17 minutes your life is over kill yourself now. SoftWareRevue 09-11-2002, 04:33 PM Still down as we speak! Darth 09-11-2002, 04:34 PM yikes but i still posted first :D DD-SNC 09-11-2002, 04:41 PM No.. My life is far from over. It doesn't depend on WHT like most of the other hosts on here because I have a lucrative business.. I was just curious as to why it was down and why so long? With so many gbits of bandwidth this shouldn't be a problem for rackshack and I'm sure advertisers aren't happy either, especially if this happens day over day. okihost 09-11-2002, 04:43 PM I have been noticing funny things on the RS network today also.. Have not checked the graphs yet though.. Anyone know anything else? Chicken 09-11-2002, 08:55 PM Originally posted by DD-SNC Why was WHT down for almost 17 minutes? Can rackshack not handle dos attacks? Do you know it was a DOS attack (my guess is no). it might have been. It might have been that someone was working on the server, etc. Sheeesh, 17 minutes... Alert me when it goes down for a couple hours... I don't see how 17 mins. of downtime would be of any importance. Originally posted by DD-SNC Why was WHT down for almost 17 minutes? Can rackshack not handle dos attacks? With all that bandwidth and knowledge DDoS shouldn't be an issue for them. I've ran a shell provider for the past four years. DOS attacks are a daily issue but never take down the provider we're hosting with because they have awesome firewalls and know what they're doing. Obviously rackshack doesn't. Chicken 09-12-2002, 09:01 PM Youre' going to have to troll elsewhere, as we don't tolerate it here. This is your final warning. Get it together or you're gone. |
