I could have told you that for $5.

I really wanted to be an answer person for Google, but when I went to sign up they said they closed registration because too many signed up (and I bet half havent even come back yet) :(

Well, you defintly got your money's worth.

You get paid as well. Google is still free, but getting a person to answer your question personally costs money.

I think the answer was (for the most part) spot on. While it might be somewhat basic, you'd be surprised at how many people overlook the basics.

I'm a Google Answers person

One of the issues I have is that it's very hard to lock questions as they come up. You literally have to be camped out at your keyboard waiting.

With that said, they are very much into quality answers. If you answer a few questions that folks aren't happy with they ask you to leave. :-)

The editor for the spanish section most likely does not get so many sites to review, therefore you are listed quicker. Also, if an editor in another cat see's that you already are listed in another section - he/she may tend to reject your application for that section although it is not always the case.
