View Full Version : Oddball timestamp problem on Alabanza server

A gold star to whoever figures this one out -

I have several sites on an Alabanza Unix box. A couple of days ago, any newly modified or uploaded files/directories began showing timestamps that are exactly five hours in the future. In other words, I create a new directory or upload a file at 6pm EST, the timestamp will say 11pm EST. This happens with all the sites on that particular box.

This only shows when I FTP into the server. When I telnet in, the timestamps and server time appear correct.

This is not a probem with my FTP client, as I've tried two different clients on three different machines, with the same results.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
=Bob

That would be the obvious answer, however the folks who administer the server can't find a problem with it.

Is it normally possible for the FTP server to show a different time than the host machine?
