Voxtreme looks good, httpme is in good hands, Freestylehosting looks to cheap (but I know nothing about them except what I read at the site), and Splash Host was too small last time I checked them out, but that was many months ago. Avoid MCHost.

As far as i know my company is larger than httpme's or voxtreme's allthough voxextreme have probably caught up now.

Based on everything that I've seen and read and rumors. Splash has the hostest operation around.

Give you the big Thumbs up there pal.

Splash Host has most likely grown a lot since then. That was just one of my deciding factors when I decided against hosting with them. From what I remember Alan was very helpful and I cannot remember anything bad about them. (Good cpanel themes as well I believe. Made me drool.)

Httpme is smaller than Splash Host and I believe newer. Aussie Bob has a great reputation and I know he puts a lot of heart into his work. If I did not need SSH I would be on one of his servers right now. I cannot vouch personally for his services, but I will vouch for him. What I know about his services come from friends of mine who use him.

Voxtreme Still checking them out. They look pretty good. I have heard good things about them even from their competition. Now, that is rare.

Freestylehosting: I stand behind what I said and I base it upon looking at their site for the very first time when it was mentioned in this thread. They look small by the size of their forums and it looks as though they are new. No knowledge on my part.

MCHost: They have been adequate (personal experience as a long time client). Priced okay, plans okay. They seem firmly established, but promises are hollow, support can be very weak, management is amateurish, and I do not believe they have their act together even after a year. The clients who were most helpful in the once grand but now shredded forums were driven off in all directions.

Now you know what I have based these evaluations upon.

By the way, you may want to work the wording on "Therefore we only offer this plans to suit the growth and long term viability of the reseller being with us." at http://adehost.com/reseller.html

I checked and yodahost.com is still available.

Not to take this totally off topic, but... This is John 3:16 from Young's Literal Translation, which is supposed to be as close to an exact translation from the orriginal texts, with little to no regard to sentence structures. And yes, I know the NT was in Greek,not Hebrew...

As for my size comment I looked at splash host and mchost back before bulk reselling was as common as it is now. Sometimes small is very good, but I was worried that the smaller of the two would not make it. Now that bulk reseller accounts are more common it is easier to see which business models are going to flop.


diederik, I will look into freestylehosting.com some more. I honestly cannot say anything about you good, bad or indifferent.

vox-fred, perhaps if I sign up with you I will let you know the host who basically told me your servers make MCHost's look like cheap junk.
