View Full Version : Domains with CyberwingDomains?
Oblivion989 09-11-2002, 02:25 AM Hey guys,
I have a domain hosted with Cyberwing Domains that I used to use on my Cyberwings account (but we all know how that went...) Well, I Finally purchased webspace again, but I still have one domain name (the one I really want) registered with CyberwingDomains. Up until this morning, the website was up and functional and I was able to log in and manage domains. Now, its down along with www.cyberwings.com. I don't know what to do for this domain.... I can try initiating a transfer, but who knows if Cyberwings will respond. Any ideas and anyone else in a dilemma like this?
btvillarin 09-11-2002, 02:48 AM I got this response emailing GoDaddy:
Dear Bryan,
Thank you for contacting Go Daddy Support. If Cyberwings were to go down, the reselling company, Wild West Domains, we secure your domain. Be assured that you would not lose your domain in a situation like that.
Please let us know if we can help you in any other way. You may also wish to read through some of the frequently asked questions on our Support Forum:

I hope this helps with some peace of mind. May we all that were with Cyberwings be able to recover.
Best wishes,

Thanks for the info Bryan.
Oblivion989 09-11-2002, 09:54 AM Byran, Thank you for that info. That could explain why when I tried doing a transfer on Godaddy, it says the domain may already be active there or in the process of transferring.
btvillarin 09-11-2002, 10:20 AM You're welcome!
By the way, I got to CWDomain management just fine:

pgrote 09-11-2002, 11:50 AM Go Daddy has been fantastic during the issue with Cyberwings. They will ensure you can access your domains.
btvillarin 09-11-2002, 12:46 PM I agree. I'm not worried one bit. :D

So how many of you (forum members) affected by sudden failure of cyberwingdomains.com?
btvillarin 09-11-2002, 03:58 PM TheWatcher2:
Nothing against you, but I felt stupid putting "all my eggs in one basket" when I used to be hosted with Cyberwings. I wish I knew about these forums before going into all of this. I feel better asking things, even if it means it's blunt and to the point.
Anyways, I'm one...but I'm not sure if there's a lot of people that've used CWDomains as well. They might've been smart enough to go with a separate registrar. :) Ah well...

No worries man, sometimes s*** things happen. Good luck to your new sub-reseller.
Have a nice day.
btvillarin 09-11-2002, 04:05 PM Sub-reseller? *unfamiliar with the term*
Thanks man... :D

btvillarin 09-13-2002, 05:58 PM Update:
I just got an email from "DomainsPricedRight.com", saying that they've taken over as my domain provider from Cyberwing Communications (Cyberwing Domains). So, everything's okay. The price for one year (for me) is $9.95, so that's alright for now. Here's the two URLs you can use:
http://www.domainspricedright.com
http://www.secureserver.net/default.asp?prog_id=domainspricedright
So, this is a heads up, and to just check your email that you have set for your account. See ya...

So much for f**king rebuilding...
Thanks Ceo*Sha---fag*
WildCard 09-15-2002, 04:45 PM wait, domains priced right?
Whois for them said they were registered with 26domains.com, and that's some Bob Parsons in AZ. No idea who that is or how he is related to Shawn White.
Anyways, you know they are domains with Godaddy, why not setup your own account and transfer them out of anything that has to do with CW and Shawn? I wonder if you could transfer them to your own account and get the $7.75 rate that they give to transfers. :)
Worth thinking about.

btvillarin 09-15-2002, 09:47 PM Domains Priced Right has nothing to do with CW or Shawn. It's just that since CW is down, Wild West Domains transferred the management to them. When my one year is almost up, I'm going to transfer them to GoDaddy myself.
