Are you currently charging sales tax for web hosting? I see some here and there charging there state taxes. Is this a good practice? Or should I just bundle the tax in the price of the hosting cost?

Hi,
I checked with my State Treasury Department and they told me there is no sale tax on web hosting. It may of been another department as it's been a while since I went through the startup of researching everything I needed to know as far as what taxes I needed to pay for my company.
This may vary by state, so I'd recommend you call your CPA if you have one or ask your county clerks office who you should call.

We don't charge sales tax, Michigan doesn't tax services with Web Hosting is. You may want to check with your state to be safe.

Minnesota does not collect sales tax on web hosting, either.
Check with your state's tax website, they usually have this stuff documented right there for you.
