Thanks! Krishopper 11-09-2008, 08:03 PM I'm a fan of SugarCRM (http://www.sugarcrm.com/), the Community Edition (http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/community/sugarcrm-community.html) is the free/open source one. fionix 11-10-2008, 12:36 PM Try Joomla.org it's great and alot of extensions. ixeo 11-12-2008, 01:49 AM how is joomla a CRM? kindly enlighten me.. I was under the impression that it is a CMS darknight2 11-12-2008, 01:52 AM Joomla official site says they are CMS too. umya 11-12-2008, 07:06 PM CMS is Content Management System which Joomla is. CRM is Customer Relationship Management which Sugar is. JLHC 11-12-2008, 10:18 PM I second SugarCRM. It is a very powerful CRM tool which you should look into. :agree: spottraining 11-13-2008, 04:24 AM vTiger CRM PaulRut 11-17-2008, 01:53 PM We use the Web Help Desk Software (http://www.webhelpdesk.com) for our CRM needs. Has a web-based portal and knowledge base for your customers too. Don't let the term "help desk" fool ya. It has all the CRM features you need! We adore it. Enjoy! :) anon-e-mouse 11-17-2008, 08:56 PM We use the Web Help Desk Software (http://www.webhelpdesk.com) for our CRM needs. Has a web-based portal and knowledge base for your customers too. PaulRut 11-17-2008, 09:29 PM You seem to be promoting them rather heavily, are you connected with them? Negative ghost-rider. Harsh... There are only a few solid technical/biz forums that I fuss with...and *enjoy* fussing with. I hope I add value to the community? When ppl ask questions, I try to answer them with the successes that we've experienced. I'd rather be told the oven is hot than touch it. I think that is why we are all here. :) I can't control the questions ;) Think what you think but I'll still give good advice (at least I think it is :)) until not allowed. :( hostmaster77 11-18-2008, 07:36 AM SugarCRM Inc. is the 800-pound gorilla in the open-source CRM category. Founded in 2004 by John Roberts, Clint Oram and Jacob Taylor, the Sugar open-source code has been downloaded more than 3 million times. The company has received $26 million in venture financing and employs more than 100 people. More than 12,000 companies use SugarCRM including Honeywell International, Starbucks Corp., First Federal Bank and BDO Seidman LLP. SugarCRM is written in PHP and is compatible with the MySQL database. computerlady911 11-18-2008, 08:28 PM I use sugar for CRM right now. I used to use ACT, which I actually liked better, but it got way to expensive. Sugar is free and there are lots of plug-ins available. deepman007 11-20-2008, 02:52 PM Are you sure SugarCRM is free? I went to sugarcrm.com and I saw sugar professional you have to $275.00 per user per year and Enterprise $449.00 per user per year. teachforjune-Scott 11-20-2008, 03:21 PM There is an enterprise edition as well as an opensource edition. computerlady911 11-20-2008, 03:38 PM That is correct. I have no experience with the Professional or Enterprise editions, but the OS edition is pretty good. It could be more user friendly, but it is very fuctional. It is probably overkill for helpdesk, and I wish it has some funtionality for inventory management. |
