My cd-rom drive keeps popping open, I have checked the computer for viruses and such, I have no clue why this is happening.

Please help :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually got that sent to me a long time ago.

I have noticed that if I reboot the computer the problem goes away till next time.

Netbus? I remembered a friend opening up my cdrom drive with it back in 97 :-P

My old Compaq Presario would open the CD-ROM tray, then suck it back into the computer. I would need to grab on for dear life to get it to stay open. Crappy thing. :mad:

THis happened to me once...So i went on with the next cool thing...A new CD-ROM

Do you have anti-virus software?
Are you running the latest definitions?
Have you ran a virus scan on your PC?

I had something funnier.

I pressed eject on my CD-ROM but the drawer didn't stop - the whole thing just flew out of the drive.

It wouldn't go back in no matter how hard I tried so I had to get a new drive :)

As for the problem VeoWeb is experiencing - I can only think of two possibilities:
* Faulty drive
* Trojan of some kind.
