PayPal Plus vs merchant account

OK, I hate the confusing statements I get from my merchant account company. It is almost impossible to know which sales are showing and how much each actually netted me.
How does PayPal Plus do it? I would like to see the customer name, date of sale, original amount and then just subtract the fee. Is that to much to ask?

I signed up for PayPal Website Payments Pro this week as it was just recently released in Canada and they are waiving the monthly fee (normally $35/month) for the rest of 2008.
Visa/Mastercard transactions are handled much like regular PayPal transactions and show similar information. You also get your money immediately into your PayPal account unlike most merchant providers who hold it for a period of time. You also able to accept payments in many currencies for the included rate which is quite nice.
I'm considering dropping my current merchant account provider to cosolidate everything into once place and get a better rate while I'm at it. I also ordered and am testing PayPal's Advanced Fraud Management Filters which is a $20/month fee (plus 5 cents per transaction), but haven't found it useful since it doesn't play nicely with my billing system.

Does it work with WHMCS? We are planning on switching over to WHMCS, and might give PayPal Pro a shot.
