Argh godaddy!

About 10 months ago I changed the name of my company and stupidly forgot to change the contact email address on several domains. The domain name for the company's old name has since expired and been taken up by some parked page company with ads on. Recently realising this as I had forgot my login to godaddy, I emailed them to request a contact email change. They want business ID from me, but i don't have any. As I understand it you do seem to need one in the US, however im in the UK where we don't do things quite the same and it's not actualy a requirement to register your business. This leaves me with a bit of a problem as you can imagine as godaddy wont change my contact email until they see a business ID. What can I do?
p.s. I have emailed them to explain this however all I get in response is a template email saying im not the registrant as I cant provide ID.

Offer them for your Passport, Driving License or any other ID you have.

I think that he need to give company proof, not personal datas. It's about his old company name/domain.
Maybe, as shortcut, you can try to find out how much new domain owners want for your old expired domain - however don't tell them why. It sound crazy, but you never know...

Not likely, but they might accept proof that you paid for the domain registration in the past and proof that you currently operate the website. You'll have to build a convincing case with more info than they are asking for.
