Hello,

I'm considering to sign up for reseller account at ukname.net (I'm not a reseller, but need bandwidth) and would like to get some information about this company. I did search here on WHT but didn't find a lot. Does someone know how many people work in this company? Do they have their own datacenter? How old the company's founder(s)?

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention, if you know a BIG, well known and reputed hosting company (except of Verio), please let me know.

I have had experience with UKname, and I DO NOT reccomend them. To start with it seems like you have made the right choice, all quiries are delt with quite fast and you have no problems with the service. But then, when you try to contact them about something you NEVER get a reply. Then your domain goes down with no previous warning. I sent an email and left a message on their (Orange) answerphone. I never heard anything. never got told y my domain went down. So I moved to Myacen.com, and their support is amazing. Along with their service. From what I have seen its like UKname is run by only 1 person. Myacen rocks!

Bigger is not always better in the hosting industry. I think rather then size, you really should look at things like support, pricing, features....etc If you are looking for a resellers account in the UK, try www.whichhosts.com as they have many listed there.

ukname.net has not really a very good reputation, you might try other hosting companies.

It's a pity. Their (his) reseller plans are attractive. But now I have dropped the idea to get an account at ukname.net.

Could someone advise a good and RELIABLE hosting company to me please? I was considering venturesonline.com and site5.com but for some reasons these companies do not exactly fit my needs.
