Last Updated ( Thursday, 31 July 2008 ) Note the dates... Whois shows: Updated Date: 26-jul-2008 Creation Date: 17-jul-2008 So I don't think the 2004 is quite right... PremiumHost 11-04-2008, 08:19 PM Their website looks really nice though. I guess they are good for web design service. ACE8018 11-05-2008, 05:55 PM i wouldn't go with them either. they probably arnt there to scam anybody but those prices for the space and b/w their giving out are too good to be true. and most likely overselling GixxerPC 11-06-2008, 07:27 PM 80,000GB is a poor mans math of saying 80TB. However, a true 80TB would be: 81,920GB as 1024MB = 1 GB. 1024GB = 1TB. ldcdc 11-06-2008, 07:40 PM 80,000GB is a poor mans math of saying 80TB Or.. is it? :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte GixxerPC 11-06-2008, 09:40 PM Or.. is it? :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte If you add 1000 MB of data to your harddrive, it'll show up like, .98GB n2xxi 11-06-2008, 10:12 PM probably a small typo :) chakib 11-07-2008, 08:25 AM I know very well the difference between gb and mb and tb and .. But I spoke to their website they offer too much space TB very low price for almost free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ldcdc 11-07-2008, 10:24 AM If you add 1000 MB of data to your harddrive, it'll show up like, .98GB That's simply how the OS developer decided to measure things. It doesn't mean it's as the standards state it should be. But I spoke to their website they offer too much space TB very low price for almost free!! It's just another form of "unlimited" hosting. It's where we were headed if Yahoo and a couple others didn't stop the numbers game and just plaster "unlimited" all over their offer. The funny thing is that the domain was created on: 17-Jul-08, but on their site they have: Up and Running! Written by Josh Monday, 09 August 2004 Gallabanga 11-14-2008, 09:47 PM I would like everyone to know, this was part of the "unlimited" business model. In order to advertise on certain forums we couldn't display the word "unlimited" so we said those high numbers. Our website HAS changed it's business model. This was to get our company started and out their, now that we have our customer base we will move on to providing a lower number of space. We didn't lie about the date, we use Joomla for content management, and it thinks the date is 2004. We are in fact a newer hosting company. When our website comes out with it's new design you will see the new space adjustments. I hope this solves all the confusion. :) RandyE 11-15-2008, 05:03 AM No TOS? And why does your Joomla think the date is 2004? It solves none of the confusion. Gallabanga 11-15-2008, 05:13 AM The global configuration is messed up, but since we are getting our site re-designed we aren't fixing it. Yes their is terms of service: http://www.gallabanga.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=10&Itemid=43 RandyE 11-15-2008, 05:39 AM Still seems a bit shady to me, especially because you have not done anything to correct the date, maybe another announcement? Also, Im pretty sure you would suspend an account before they got to 75,000 GB's of Bandwidth. You say you don't oversell on your website, but I find it hard to believe you guys set aside 20,000 GB's of HD Space.....Correct me if I'm wrong everyone. Pamir Rocker 11-15-2008, 06:10 AM another bulshit company, please do not register with this company. there isn't any hard disk or external hard disk which is 8TB (80000 GB) this company is the same as hosty.net.. after payment they will suspend ur account with no reason please be care full.. thank u RSkeens 11-15-2008, 07:44 AM How are you so inexpensive? PDF Print E-mail Written by Avi Sunday, 27 July 2008 Imagine if you are going out for dinner, and have the choice of paying $10 for a dinner... or $20 for an all-you-can eat deal. So you and your two friends, all pay about 7 dollars... and get all you can eat. We are taking place as the 'two friends'. We are organizing it so you can split the expensive price with someone, while not only getting the same quality/quantity, but in-fact getting MORE quantity (space) and better quality ( live support). Surely there is a better example? I don't think that makes much sense, as no restaurant will allow people to share an all - you - can - eat offering, it would mean they lose 3 times the amount of food. Also, I have trouble understanding the : "We are taking place as the 'two friends'". So in other words, you are losing the equivalent of twice what the client is paying? JFSG 11-15-2008, 07:47 AM there isn't any hard disk or external hard disk which is 8TB (80000 GB) Use your brains. Gallabanga 11-15-2008, 03:35 PM The articles on our website are from when the website was started, since then the space we offer has changed. Yes we do over sell, as do some of the biggest hosts in the world, host gator, blue host, and iweb. RandyE 11-15-2008, 03:42 PM Overselling is putting it mildly. Your also telling people that they can have that much space/badnwidth, when you know it is impossible, as was stated previously, your business seems like the type to suspend an account without notice, or really any reason, other than trying to get what they are paying you for, which you can not give them. But as has been stated, don't host with them, to shady. Dynash 11-15-2008, 04:49 PM Are your dedicated servers, really dedicated or are they just hybrids? They don't seem to be. When you go onto the order form, it just seems to be a shared account with smaller specs and higher prices. viclopez 12-22-2008, 07:35 PM I would like everyone to know, this was part of the "unlimited" business model.
