Nah, I have really no problem in giving a reward if work is done. Of course the LONGTERM thing would be far more intersting for somebody then a one time 20 bucks. Anyways... My company is important to me and we have deadlines to keep...

firstly, i'd use something like Cpan to make sure that DBI is installed correctly.
Secondly, most proprietary cpanels (whatever your blend) will refuse to deal with 2 versions of perl on the box, so you should remove the unused one, and see if that helps at all.
