Rebel 09-10-2002, 08:28 AM Price reduced, hope you find this new offer more appealing. :)
damn wish i was a webhost, .011 cents per GB and a Dual Intel Pentium III. Wow i am amazed with this offer.
I wish you luck selling it, should be pretty easy for all the smart WHT people here that know a good deal when they see it. :)
BwBroker 09-11-2002, 08:39 AM He is the same guy who made this offer...at least he is using the same ICQ uin. (and the same offer, and i bet its also a net gamer box he is trying to resell)
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70676
I was trying to buy a box from him for ages, i made a deal with him (even paid the for the damn thing) and then he cancelled it (and yes, gave me my money back) he decided that it wasn’t such a good deal for him after all.
Then after a few days he came back with a new offer, I said go to that one as well, but then he said that i could only get 2 IP's as the provider has disagreements with cogent and could only get 10 IP's (?!?) for the whole DC.
Then I said no - I needed 3 IP's...
THEN again - he came back after a few days again - said OK, and after a some bargaining (he needed to borrow the money for buying the hardware) we agreed about a fair price (just about the same level as above). AND - then, the next day he comes back to me and said that he had an accident - he dropped the box on the stairs on the way up to his apartment...and he didn’t have the money to build a new one. So if I still wanted it, I needed to pay upfront and then wait...
I said no (started to smell fishy)....
And then - yes - after a few days he came back said that he had borrowed the money from the guy who had the DC...
Again, I said yes to the deal - but after that time i sent him mails, ICQ's and even called him a few times - but he never answered me.
Naturally I contacted him before writing this post as well - but again, no answer...
Just wanted to warn anyone wanting to do biz with this guy (aka Tony Zerano), make sure that you agree, and get written contracts with him before getting too involved. Well, that was my experience anyway.
And Tony - tell me, why did you start ignoring me?
Rebel 09-11-2002, 10:06 PM Some points:
1. This is the first time I am offering this service, so yes adjustments have to be made if the original deal isn't going to work as originally planned.
2. You really only need 2 IPs for the server, and they are provided in this package. A max of 10 IPs is what the facility owner is prepared to give me, not my call.
3. Yes, I did have an accident with the box, but was able to salvage the processor and memory. If I was going to swindle you, I would not have given you my address, phone number, and your money back the first time.
4. You never called me or e-mailed me, do not lie to these people.
5. And this is the reason why I have been avoiding you on ICQ:

I'm sorry, but no one was going to give me a loan if I tell them this is my future client. After some thought, and suggestions from peers I decided if it was best to put this business between you and me behind. You yourself wanted to go with another company, and I saw that you did. So I let it be, but apparently you wanted to get everyone worked up so they don't buy from me, a person just making a honest offer.
So the offer stands as is. Whoever buys this server gets my personal cell phone number for peace of mind and quick support on this deal.

I'm not mad, just trying to clear up some things. Besides, he lives in Denmark...little far from Kansas. ;)
porcupine 09-12-2002, 01:24 PM 10 ip's for an entire facility? Sounds like someone reselling off the end user cogent connection to me
Rebel 09-12-2002, 09:45 PM Please re-read point 2 of my third post.
porcupine 09-12-2002, 09:53 PM I did read that the first time around, but it doesen't define against what i said. If i'm incorrect, just say so, im not always right as i mentioned previously to ya.
Seems a little silly to me though if the guy wont give out a reasonable amount of ip's (his loss i guess right?), as cogent will happy give you thousands of them.
Rebel 09-12-2002, 10:07 PM The facility owner has his reasons for allowing me only 10 IPs max, not my business to discuss it here publicly for you. All you need is 2 IPs really, and this deal is a steal if you run an adult site that requires a lot of server performance and bandwidth.
