View Full Version : Control panel
Hey Guys
I have used cpael, HSPHERE , Hosting controller
All these CPs offer Reseller plan creation, and online SQL server managment. any one knows a CP that supports oracle DBS.
submit your comments about the control panels.
HPHERE is good but they charge $4.95 per CP. so i can't offer reseller plans.
when reselers start creating acounts i will be billed
We were going to use oracle for our database due to the extra security it would provide to the billing features...
However it would have jacked the price of the control panel up significantly making it an expensive license..
But is oracle really needed?'
KDAWebServices 09-09-2002, 04:36 PM How would using Oracle make it more secure (forgive my ignorance here as I've not had loads to do with Oracle), I remember reading about several exploits on Oracle a few months ago.
Thanks,
guys what you'll think about Helm. shall we come up with the best control panel
KDAWebServices 09-10-2002, 06:14 AM Helm looks good, the demo is pretty swish and it certainly seems to have the ideas in place.
KDAWebServices 09-10-2002, 08:39 AM Oooh, such a constructive coment  Now that would really make me want to not use it.
How is etrinix.com control panel. what is the best CP you'll know

Perhaps a typo? "Helm, duck!" perhaps? It's pretty big, so mind your head. ;)
KDAWebServices 09-10-2002, 08:27 PM Ahh, so that's what he meant :) Guess it was warning to all the other people making CPs :D
Adam_S 09-10-2002, 08:32 PM He is one of those guys making another control panel. Why else would he say "Helm, yuck!".
Does it sound defensive to you kda?
KDAWebServices 09-10-2002, 08:34 PM Sounds like a worried individual who has spent $$$ on a CP that doesn't match up to the features of Helm. Glad we decided to veto our plans on developing a CP with all these new ones coming out, oh and of course we found and love HSphere :)
Im not being defensive at all, i dont like the interface of helm.
Am i trying to make my panel live up to helm, NO, why because helm isnt even out yet so i would i even know how to do this?
I just dont like the interface.
Adam_S 09-11-2002, 05:22 AM Their site says that Helm has multiple interfaces. You've only seen one.
Well then i dont like the one i seen:)
You all are acting like i said it was the worst control panel to ever be designed or something....
I just said yuck, , i didnt really like what i saw. The features are nice, but i just didnt like the interface.
I wasnt bashing the entire thing.
Im not defending my panel, i have no reason too..
It doesnt apply to the same market as Helm will, Helm will not be able to get the customers im targeting and vice versa.. so Helm doesnt effect my panel and im positive my little solo project wont have any effect on Helm.
It was an opinion outside the fact that im having a panel developed.
I like WHM/Cpanel even though im having a panel designed..
But i dont like the WHM's interface.
The end user blue lagoon is nice, other than that i dont like them either..
:D any comments on hosting controller. there support sucks.......
