What do you want to see in a web hosting manager?

Hi all,
I'm considering starting an open-source project, a web hosting manager written in PHP 5. I want to take the best features out of the industry-leading web hosting managers put them together to create a simplistic open-source web hosting manager ideal for data center use, dedicated server hosting, etc but also meet the needs of smaller web hosts.
My question is, what would you like to see in a web hosting manager.
Also, what control panels would you want full support for?

My question is: why would you start yet-another-project from scratch? Why don't you contribute to any existing open source project? There are so many around, are you saying that they are all bad?
