Crissic Solutions - tech support a joke
After a little more than two months I've given up on this company. Even for a budget host, the quality of support leaves a lot to be desired.
First incident on Sept 9: all sites down. No response to ticket for 5 hours. Issue finally resolved 7 hours in.
Second incident on Sept. 25 - two client sites powered by SMF both went belly-up simultaneously. No response to ticket for over 4 hours. Issue never really resolved - a full restore from backups did not fix the problems, and a reinstall over the existing installs also didn't work.
Third incident on October 24: test installations of Joomla and Mambo both failed with fatal out of memory errors after script installation. Obviously a problem with memory allocated in php.ini. I never got a response to my ticket.
Fourth incident on October 25. After moving all sites to a new host I turned in a ticket to close my account. Have never gotten a reply, although the auto-responder did inform me the ticket was being closed due to my not replying in 20 hours.
"Live" support has been offline since at least the afternoon of the 24th. Also note that incidents 1 and 2 took place during the work week. when one would assume someone would be around the help desk on a continuous basis.
I notice someone from Crissic was posting an ad here yesterday afternoon, so someone's at least partially minding the store.
