UK2.net (http://powerraq.com) have just released a selection of different servers, they are doing the normal thing they do by advertising one terabyte data transfer PER YEAR,it's about 80 pounds per month and you get roughly 83 gigs of bandwith per month. This is still pretty cheap compared to others but do you think they'll be any good,UK2 trick alot of people when doing what they do.I had to find if the one terabyte is yearly or monthly(which most automatically think),before this they did their 'penny domain names' that arn't free at all because they charge you the normal fee plus the penny and you still have to pay to get ad removal. So will this be another scam?
Well for £110 a month you get a Windows 2000 server with 83GB of bandwidth.... I'd take one of them.

If you click on order and you will see the following:
6.0 BANDWIDTH
Default bandwidth is limited to 250GB per year. A charging policy will be available online on our website and we reserve the right to change the policy at any time.

uk2.net have been running quite a while now but those packages certainly do seem "dodgy"

yeah dude
they specifically are trying to mislead unsuspecting consumers
not cool
legally, they can say they are being clear... but to the average dude, we all make the plain assumption of monthly because otherwise isn't stated on the main page nearly as large as the 1TB... AND... they bill monthly... not to forget that monthly is the industry norm...
i mean... if they want to do bandwidth in a yearly basis... they should do the same for the price... then it'd b cool

first point is that their support is even lower then rackshacks, you pay for anything more then reboots.
secondly i dont see what you mean about 6.0 bandwidth etc, sorry prolly me missing something obvious but i went all the way thru to the checkout and only saw the 1 TB a year all the way.
thirdly, their network is pretty damn good by all accounts.
seems like a nice offer and ill be having a look at it later in the year. would be nice to see the upgrade price to put a decent amount of ram in the sun fire v100. and the win2k deal is great. esp since they will work with you to cluster a few servers together so you can have ns1 \panel - ns2 \ hosting - db etc on diff servers

ahh i see rule 6 now. thats just not been updated, they used to offer 250 GB. they now offer 1000. simple error.
also they bill yearly, i dont think you can pay weekly even if you wanted to, same for monthly, its either 1 yr or 3 yrs,
Damn shame they don't take monthly payments... their Win2k server would have been ideal for me - apart from reboots I wouldn't have needed anything else from them.

The uk2net forums were full of clients complaining of the lack of support when i looked at them some time ago - Servers are always being hacked (cobalt's - people with little experience) and it takes days to get anyone to look at it apparently - that was then - Don't know if you get better service if you pay for the support in advance though.. I'd say you would have to :D
hhmm.. cheap again doesn't smell right somehow :D
