View Full Version : Modernbill / Plesk Billing Owned License
The Broadband Man 10-24-2008, 02:15 PM I am a legacy modernbill customer and renewed my license a few months ago - have not used it at all. We get unlimited customers and the license is for sale
Not sure what to charge since plesk doesn't even sell unlimite licenses anymore but they WILL honor the license ands its active now
I just want what I paid to renew it and some of the original so let's say $300 ? OBO
Anyway, I'll get licensed verified by mods too

Hi,
What is the version of your plesk owned licnece?
And what is your last price?
Cheers
The Broadband Man 02-16-2009, 05:44 AM Doesn't matter what version right since once you renew support you can upgrade to latest but I was using modernbill v5
I paid $375+ for this with support. I'm asking $250 right now FIRM - this is a great deal since plesk only does $25 / month now and does NOT do owend licenses
FreakMind 02-16-2009, 07:09 AM Hi
Would you please specify exactly which Plesk you are offering?
Automation billing or Plesk panel or Infrastructure Manager ...etc.?
Besides, Plesk you are offering is for Linux or Windows ? or Both ?
Please send me more detailed information.
Thank you
The Broadband Man 02-16-2009, 06:35 PM I am NOT offering a plesk control panel
http://www.modernbill.com/
this is modernbill which was bought by plesk and is now called plesk billing - it is for linux buty there is a windows version as well - you can install it on whatever
Dark Light 02-16-2009, 06:56 PM ModernBill licenses can no longer be transferred between parties - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=4918089&postcount=3
FreakMind 02-16-2009, 08:31 PM The Broadband Man
I also read about that, ModernBill licenses can no longer be transferred between parties
The Broadband Man 02-17-2009, 12:54 AM You can't changwe the ownership because they don't have the databases anymore but you can change the domain ... which is equivalent of changing parties ...
FreakMind 02-17-2009, 04:15 PM The Broadband Man.
In this case i would like to check first and try with less risk.
You can send me the modernbill, change the domian name as you mentioned.
If that would work , then i send you the payment.
Cheers.
The Broadband Man 02-17-2009, 11:23 PM Sure will call plesk
FreakMind 02-18-2009, 04:26 AM ok then , i agree as mentioned before to check it first with the owned licence, if every thing is ok then i send you the money.
besides, it would be great if you can forward plesk support email response to me.
to email: serozhka@gmail.com
Cheers.
FreakMind 02-18-2009, 09:32 AM Hello The Broadband Man,
Just knew from Plesk that is possible to switch owner of the old modernbill owned licence.
For that should be a forum to be filled by you and signed.
Let me know if you have any news.
Cheers.
FreakMind 02-18-2009, 10:01 AM Hi ,
I just recieved the contract of the Plesk of the domain exchange and the owner exchange.
Send me your email to send you the contract forum that it should be filled by you.
By the way, i also knew that to update it still required a 25% of its price.
Waiting ...
Cheers.
The Broadband Man 02-18-2009, 12:52 PM This is really cool, so because parallels has a different key for each version of modernbill, they said that you have 3 keys
1 for v4
1 for v5
1 for v6
And you can have 3 concurrent versions of modernbill runnign ... on different domains ... making this very very valuable because in the future when v7, 8 etc comes out - you can have multiple installs :D
Also - the key upgrade is free - where do you see 25%?

FreakMind 02-18-2009, 05:29 PM Gi
I just called plesk and they told me by the phone of the 25%.
FreakMind 02-18-2009, 05:33 PM The Broadband Man , should we conclude this deal ?
send me your email to send you the application that it should be filled and signed by you , to forward the sell process.
Bye
The Broadband Man 02-19-2009, 12:10 AM I'll just renew the license and u can see - im told its free
The Broadband Man 02-19-2009, 02:06 AM Here you go
Apparently here's the deal. If you're a legacy modernbill customer, you're entitled to free upgrades. I jsut got mine. Because each version is a separate license, I now have a v4, v5 and v6 license
