I would need some hontest suggestions and feedbacks and small help:

1) What do you think of the site?

2) Like the layout? Too simple?

3) What should I add?

4) How to make a good logo on top where says "Deaf Millennium Network" ?

5) Am I being too cheap?

1) For me, it looks too clean, too organisized and it has toooooo much text on the first page.

2) Startpage (see 1). The other pages seems for me nice like deaf sites. What I don't like is, that you mix different layouts togehter. It looks like you visit a complet different website.

3) Get a red line into your pages that visitors are able to know that they are in a network. Less text and perhaps a bit more color 'cause at the moment it looks too grayish.

4) We usually think about what the site should be. And then we make some trials (about 10) with Photoshop6. Usually we find always one logo of ten which match the needs. Use your fantasie!

5) Well, I don't think your too cheap but tastes are different. For a "non-commercial" site it will be ok, if you don't want to win a price. For "commercial" site it is too cheap.

Hope I could help you a little bit.

Sandy

You're targetting deaf people, not people who are blind! :) It's much too simple and blah for my tastes. You need to get a graphics program of some sort, even if you end up with http://www.gimp.org. I'd say go for Jasc Paint Shop Pro, or Adobe Photoshop (if you can spend $600).

I was curious about the services you offer but gave up searching for them in all that text. Suggest you list them in an easy to scan fashion and then use pop-ups or addition pages for explanation. If using the text for motivation then maybe pick one or two to hype and rotate others (similar to banner rotation).

A nice logo on top would help cheering up the site.

The first banner I saw was a about voice message service (pagoo). :D Isn't it quite ironic?

Personally, I think the design is OK... I am not a web designer myself (in fact, I am suck at it :( ),
but for sure, improving the design would be much better if you are going to be competitive.

cheers,

http://www.deafmillennium.net/ looks ok but I have a few things to point out.

The menu images, it appears they are somewhat blurred? It makes me sleepy. ;)

The top part of the site is lacking something. Since I am not a professional web designer, I can not directly point what is lacking. But something lacks at the top. I see no 'life' on top. You may need something to cheer the site up, like images & such.

I suggest you remove thee 468 x 60 banner off and use 125 x 125 banner type instead. It will look more professional.

And for Dektong, you made a mistake in your post :)
you typed :beer" instead of  :)

thanks for the answers

however, at this point, I am trying to have a new design but cant think of one, i am not good at designing. the new site will be much easier, wide almost full screen..

for instance, yahoo.com or cnn.com or something like that but i wish i am designer skilled but not :P

uhmm, abt that banner, it helps generate renuve, there's no way to get it smaller. only that size.

the menu images will be fixed asap

by the way, you guys tried to acesss the new design site has been taken down as well cuz they suck :(

thanks!

I use 125 x 125 banner/text ads to earn extra $$

Phpbb should fit well with the layout.

The new design still lacks a logo. Other than that I think the new design is fine.

Logo is something that can make a site unique. I suggest you head to http://www.sitepointforum.com and visit trading post. Ask for a logo there for a small fee, as little as $50.

Hm visit my site, anime-anime.com. It has a logo also. I am not proud of my site design but I think it's not that bad.
