All of their plans stats "Unlimited bandwidth transfer", and one of the plans states "Unlimited disk space".
Then in their TOS, we see this:
1.4 Customer may not use its Web site as a storage area for files that are not linked to Customer's Web pages. That is, the unlimited space and unlimited traffic are provided for User's Web site, not for Customer's personal file storage;
1.5 SG.GS 's "unlimited traffic and storage" offer is to provide the SG.GS 's customers with storage space and bandwidth for active Web pages and cannot be used as a "storage space" for electronic files. An example of sites that fall under "electronic storage" are large archives of images, compressed files, movies, or sound files. SG.GS permits up to 50 megabytes of archive storage, which is not for web hosting purpose but just to store them on server use. e.g. avi or wav files, compressed files, shareware, games, programs, etc.. There is no limit on disk space used by .html files, images, flash, shockwave as long it is used for active web pages. All HTML pages MUST be linked to files (HTML, .jpg, .gif, etc.) stored on SG.GS 's server and vice versa. You are not allowed to store illegal MP3, MPEG on the servers unless you are the authorised owner or has licenses of these media files.
1.6 SG.GS does not permit sites in the Unlimited Plan where 20% or more of the monthly traffic is from file downloads, or sites that use more than 10% of system resources, or sites which in SG.GS 's view are detrimental to the enjoyment of SG.GS services by SG.GS 's other clients, or are in the sole and final judgment of SG.GS , detrimental to network or business operations.
1.9 SG.GS reserved the right to terminate or suspend your account should any abuse occured or any of the above rules broken. In the case of such event, your paid hosting fee will not be refunded. You are reminded to keep by the rule to avoid such inconveniences.
Just wondering -- has anyone had any experiences with this host?
There's also another Singapore based webhost (http://www.iwi.com.sg) that provides unlimband.. However on iwi.com.sg's service agreement, I see nothing about bandwidth limits/agreements. Any ideas?
