It's a 1.4 megapixel camera that actually takes pretty good pictures. I want those new 5 megapixel ones though that take movies and look like print pictures. :( Akash 09-08-2002, 12:22 AM wait till next month...hp is putting out 3 cameras Walter 09-08-2002, 06:21 AM Nikon is the way to go. Blind Freddy 09-08-2002, 06:29 AM I have a Canon A40. - not too sure if that is in the $Us 350 price bracket, but should be close. Great Camera, and if you get 1.8maH NiH Batteries, it lasts for AGES without recharging. Advantages are that batteries are standard AA, and it also takes short movie clips. 3x digital zoom is excellent too. Regards, Eric G. They currently have a P30 going for 189 used. I am a huge fan of the Sony's. They have done a nice job. Steve OldOne 09-08-2002, 09:29 AM I have Fuji FinePix 3800 but it is costing $450. Excellent performance. akashik 09-08-2002, 10:54 AM http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/S50/S50A.HTM Sony DSC-S50 is the one I use. Excellent camera I think. You're bound to be able to pick these up fairly cheap now as they've replaced it with the P series. The battery in it is almost the same as the Sony video cameras (those solid lithium battery packs, rather than normal batteries). The last for around 140 minutes taking pictures and recharge as soon as you plug the camera into the wall. No need to ever buy batteries for it. Photos come out looking great, though it does take a little while to get used to not having a viewfinder (LCD viewing only). It came with everything needed including a charger though I did upgrade the memory and got a better charger with extra batteries. The batteries are standard AA, so I also carry a few cheapy regulars "just in case." It also takes short movie clips. Overall, nice "point n shoot" camera. Note: I had an Olympus Camedia C-3020 but must have gotten a bad one cause I had trouble with it and returned it. floppy 09-08-2002, 12:19 PM Kodak DX3900 Digital Camera gives excellent resolution. |
