Namecheap started offering web hosting but they are still very good as a domain registrar. Didn't have any problems with them and I buy most of my domains there.
Name.com is also ok.

Most of the big registrars have got into the hosting game. No worries. Just turn down all those hosting offers that keep popping up. Network Solutions if you have money to burn, Dotster (great interface-mid prices), GoDaddy for lowest price.

All did not originally but now offer hosting. Like I said, just ignore all their offers and go about just buying a name.

I can see no advantage to buying a name from a company that doesn't offer hosting nowadays and they would be hard to find. The only thing would be a company like ours who only sells domains as a convenience so we do not offer domains unless you get a hosting plan.

But all the "biggies" I mentioned will try their best to sell you hosting...just don't buy. Just buy the name. ;)

Thanks Siroppel,
I tried namecheap.com and it offers for less than $10 a year.
Why other offer this ammount per month?

Also could you tell me if I will be able to sell my domain in case if someone finds this name attractive and I did not start my web page yet.

Domain.com, just say you don't want hosting.

Domain registrations are per year, and $10 is more or less regular pricing these days for .com.

Also could you tell me if I will be able to sell my domain in case if someone finds this name attractive and I did not start my web page yet. Yes you will be able to do that. :)

It's a pity that when the OP CLEARLY asked for "domain registars which are not hosting companies", and then someone started posting some registrar that actually offered web hosting.
