You could have a windows server installation and you could use the windows integrated backup utility . It works fine on my machines . I have tested the system state backup option and the differential backup . If you have a second drive. Then you could configure RAID and then you will have a mirror of your disk. The possibilities are many. You need a RAID controller in order to be able to configure hardware RAID. You could configure your disk drives as dynamic drives.
