I'm trying todo a search for a script that was posted here, and I can't seem to find it with search...

I know the search index was updated from them, so I don't know if the current index is completely done...

Could a mod check this?

What kind of search index do you want. Software search or site search?

I've noticed that searches lately do not produce good results. I can search for something that I've searched for in the past and it doesn't show up. :(

It is probably time for a re-index, however we need to plan this.

Yeah its an all day thing with a forum this large :D

Just be sure to disable searching while its being done...

I'd suggest uploading all the vB 2.2.7 files over the current 2.2.5 hacked files, do the upgrade, update all the templates, rehack all the files..

Then do the index....

I hereby delegate this job to Patrick at RS. Keeps him busy...

*shivers coldly* Last time I did this I started it at about 7PM and woke up the next morning with it still going. ;) I'll do it shortly but I'll inform everyone in advance.

It certainly isn't a small thing... but every now and then needs to be done. No searching might drive me nuts.

I really never have todo it...

When a person makes a post its supposed to add that posts contents to the search index...

For some reason, it lost some info I think..

Maybe try the reindex from shell, use lynx on the server, so it doesn't time out as bad maybe...
