View Full Version : Need a really really good Reseller Provider
MicGoogle 10-11-2008, 12:05 PM Hello,
I'm in need for a really good reseller. One that can install mod_layout; i'm with hostnine and it seems their server admin do not want to install mod_layout waiting for a response to why they can't install this simple apache module.
I need mod_layout to be installed and private nameservers for my domain.
Prices aren't a big case, just a reliable provider.
I was thinking InnoHosting, but their one staff Rameem seems to be spread out, hes offering user-end support and hes all over the place, i'm in serious doubt if he can help me as much.
So a really reliable host with some existence in years would be great.
Atul-JodoHost 10-11-2008, 12:45 PM mod_layout is an Apache module that provides both a Footer and Header directive to automagically include output from other URIs at the beginning and ending of a Web page.
Generally a host would not offer custom modules on shared servers. It will need compile to install and on every update. This can be easily done using SSI.
MicGoogle 10-11-2008, 12:53 PM i use iPanel software and i've a feeling it won't work with your HSphere and your plans are not suitable, 15 account for $17 .. reseller hosting?
Yes SSI seems like a great idea but i'm looking to see which hosts would do this.

Innohosting is great. Also, Rameem is the owner. I would say they are good for a reseller account or you might want to check out Host Gator.
All the best,
DATARTIM 10-11-2008, 01:11 PM Do you have any other requirements, as in a certain amount of space or bandwidth or billing systems etc ?
That will help people make recommendations.
Also, I doubt many or any shared hosts will "install" mod_layout, if you really need it then I'd suggest a VPS or dedicated server.
MicGoogle 10-11-2008, 01:15 PM Certainly at or over 10 GB space is fine, $20 area or a little bit higher is fine as well.
Bandwidth is not big, i usually am fine with what most hosts offer unless its like 10 GB bandwidth..
As far as companies like HostGator they will not suffice as i plan on doing a free hosting and no overselling allowed by hostgator basically defeats that purpose. InnoHosting's phone doens't even work, maybe their tickets are good but I'd hate to be waiting in line, also their account limit is 25 which for free hosting as you know goes fast.
I also like direct or 2-in line providers no 3rd or 4th tiers providers who if a problem occurs blames it on the server provider, and the server provider blames it on the datacenter...

i plan on doing a free hosting That will be a problem with a good number of hosts, as free hosting users are often trouble, especially as they're anonymous and quite unaccountable.
3.13 Selling for free - InnoHosting prohibits any portion of its services to be resold without charge. This includes but not limited to: entire hosting accounts, email services, scripts, FTP accounts, MySQL databases, applications, licenses, webspace and bandwidth (this includes image hosting and file/data hosting services, either free or subscription/fee based).

A VPS will give you the freedom to install anything you want. With free hosting performance is not that important I suppose.
MicGoogle 10-11-2008, 03:05 PM I see, thank you for your input, i await to see more hosts or suggestions or hosts who may.
I was just with autica.com they provided the services like mod_layout the reason i left was because their ticket response times are 2 days average, i might have to go back as it seems they're one of the only ones in the industry who do this sort of stuff.
01globalnet 10-11-2008, 07:30 PM None shared/reseller company will let you run a free hosting services. You will have to go the VPS/dedicated rout.
