Ok fellow Professor at St Andrews has asked me to ask this.
In your country or state what is the age to ride a motorbike or moped on the roads?.
And can you's say weather the age is for motorbikes or mopeds for example 15 years old to ride a moped and 17 to ride a motorbike.
NOTE: Just to say i am not really wondering for myself i am just wondering what the ages are around the world compared to the UK.

Yep it is that.
I think it's the only option Tony Blair has considering under 16 year olds in the UK just cannot be trusted.
I think American kids are more mature.

Anyway i wont get a license if you were ever in an accident you would probably be killed  cars are much safer :)
16 in the U.S. for both, atleast in most states.

Yep. Some parts of America it's 14 and it says you have to keep two hands on the handle bars at all times:D .

lol, 16 for a moped, 17 for your 125 cc licence then you do a dsa which allows you to rid e a250cc until your at least 21 AND have at least 3 yrs with your DSA licence. thats the uk.
if i had my way tho no males under 70 would be allowed to ride. ive ridden a fair amount and it does funny things to your brain. you sit on a triumph 955i and all of a sudden you find yourself on a windy road, with some mates ignoring the fact theres a 50 limit, doing a fair 30 or 40 over the ton. 14 isnt safe, 16 isnt safe and 60 isnt safe :) esp not with truckers spilling derv on the road and murdering bikers.

It varies in the US. Where I live (Arizona), it's 16 for anything over 50cc. Under 50cc there is no age limit and no license required on roads 25mph and under.

The driving age starts at 16 in almost all the countries. There are some countries where the maximum age for driving licence is 70 years.

Here in NSW, Australia.
For a motorcycle "Learners" licence you need to attend a pre-learners course which you can do at 16 years 6 months.
You can get a Learners licence at 16 years 9 months. This limits you to 250CC provided that the power-weight ratio and engine capacity isn't above a certain figure (I forget what it is). Some 250CC motorcylces that can't be ridden on Learners include Aprilia RS250, Honda NSR250, Suzuki RGV250, etc.
Once you've held the learners licence for 3 months (it expires after 6 months), you then need to take a "Motorcycle Operator and Skills Test" and then you can proceed onto your provisional licence. This still limits you to 250CC, and I think it lasts for 12 months before you can get an unrestricted licence.
That is the basics of it here.
Note: If you're > 30 y/o then you can proceed straight onto an unrestricted licence provided you pass the tests.

It seems that in most places it's 16 but anyway.
I have explored youths on there off road bikes riding on public parks etc and the police are very strict. When i was younger i had an off road bike and it was brand new and cost over £1000 and i finally gave up using it since i did not like getting stopped everytime i went out on it and getting treated as if it was stolen until the police radio guy said "Not known".
With my researching of this youth craze it seems not very often a youth(s) get stopped by a police car and it's mostly a van.
I have heard reports from my fellow colleagues that they went out for a day at this local youth hotspot and the police had got retired police men to get lessons on to ride a bike and they fitted them out with big off road bikes and it was reported that the police went chasing after the youths on the bike and the police used to fall off before the youths did and the youths just stood there laughing, the police where undercover like with all the brand new MX gear.
I'm tired so that message might sound mucked up but it's probadly just your disability that causes you not to understand.

In UK, if the kid is riding moped below 25cc does not need a licence.
