I am new here and am looking to have my own server. I wonder why people buy from Saburovo.com! To me they only resell RackShack and FDC servers at higher rates. Is it the support that makes the difference or what?

Thats why! :D Mans 09-07-2002, 05:42 PM So it is the support then! For setup fee, they offer RACKSHACK 1000 for 139/m while RackShack have it for 99/m and $1 setup fee! Thats just a special offer DD-SNC 09-07-2002, 05:46 PM How can you provide support when all rackshack knows is format and restore? How can you provide support when your not in front of the system itself? What if some commands need to be typed? I'm still not understanding the benefits of that.. Not trying to downtalk sab or rackshack either.. Darth 09-07-2002, 05:50 PM Remember, there is no setup. DD-SNC 09-08-2002, 01:32 AM Ahh... mgp 09-08-2002, 04:18 AM I have been with Saburovo.com for almost a year, and the support is great. The thing is if he canīt solve it himself he will contact those who can :) one good thing about it is that every provider he is dealing with have great respect for him, and if there is a problem it will get solved very fast :) 2host.com 09-08-2002, 07:11 AM I waas wondering that myself. After all, what good is support if they can't truly promise or provide full support? If one file goes corrupt, or some other issue transpires that's out of a remote administrators' control, RS will format it. Sounds high risk to me. I suppose it's better than nothing if someone wants a dedicated and doesn't know anything, but if something breaks right, you're doomed anyway. Blikje 09-08-2002, 08:06 AM I also read in this forum the the HeadSurfer knows him, and sees him as a valuable SPECIAL customer. He gets priority because of this, and can that way solve problems easier. 2host.com 09-08-2002, 08:13 AM Originally posted by Blikje I also read in this forum the the HeadSurfer knows him, and sees him as a valuable SPECIAL customer. So is this guy on-site, has on-site access or he's so 'special' that he can actually tell the techs there "log into the server and do this" or "type this at the root prompt when it tried to boot" and get things done? If that's true, that must be nice (for them). I'd sure not want to find out the hard way of just what they might not do if it came to one of those hardware or corruption issues. I doubt that they can promise this and deliver either. Not in that capacity. |
