How long it takes to transfer the domain from one server to another after making necessary changes in your system.

Hi,

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, so I'll answer your question in both ways that it could be interpreted.

Transferring a domain to another WEB HOST simply requires a DNS change, and you would do that through the registrar that your domain was originally purchased at. You then have to wait for the change to spread throughout the internet, and that takes 24-48 hours.

If you are asking about tranferring a DOMAIN from another registrar to us, then the answer to that question is that the time is variable.

To transfer a domain, a email is sent to the registrar that you are currently with, basically asking permission to transfer it over to us. How long it takes them to reply will play a big part in how fast the transfer takes place.

Generally, it takes about one week.

Hope I answered your question...

I was trying to think of your domain at freewebspace.net but managed to forget it at the crucial time. I'll edit my message with your URL. Good luck...

DOH!

Things always slip my mind right when you really need them - people's names, what my wife told me to buy at the store... etc..

Thanks Chicken, I'll take all the free advertising I can get!
